Salary: Starting Rate £12.00phr plus performance bonus of £0.50p per hour

Location: Long Buckby

Shift: Days Monday to Friday 0700-1700 Flexible!

We're looking for a yard operator to help operate a busy yard and stores on a small, friendly site. Agricultural or driving plant/machinery - Telehandler or Loading Shovel ideally. A full UK Driving license is essential. The site is busy all year around with lots of liaising between the office, lab and external lorry drivers. Harvest (mid July-September) is the busiest time of year. The role is highly varied through different times of the year as well as day to day. 

The Role:

  • Loading lorries with a telehandler and assisting drivers to tip in the stores.
  • Moving product from stores to processing plants using a telehandler or loading shovel.
  • Sampling product and being responsible for using ventilation fans to maintain quality and correct store temperatures.
  1. Liaising with your line manager to plan daily tasks.
  2. Liaising with other departments on site (quality lab, production etc) as well as third party lorry drivers to coordinate day to day operations.
  3. Hygiene and cleanliness task to keep the site in a good working order.
  4. General yard duties including keeping the yard tidy at all times.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. Mon-Fri 7am-5pm. Shift start time can be flexible (within reason). Overtime hours available.
