The Role: Production Operative (Days or Nights)

Salary: Starting Salary Days £31,200 - £37,440 per annum/ Nights from £39,780 per annum

Location: Long Buckby

Shift: Days Monday to Friday - 0600-1800 OR 0800-1800 / Nights 6pm-6am. Sunday-Thursday

Status: Permanent

We're looking for plant operators to help run their machinery for their processing plants on a small, friendly site. Agricultural or production experience would be helpful but not essential. A full UK Driving licence is essential.

This job includes:

• Hourly testing of the finished product quality.
• Adjusting the machinery when required. Some of this machinery is controlled from a central PLC control panel, some settings require changing on the machines themselves.
• Completion of simple but important production paperwork.
• Changing consumables and wearing parts on machinery. Minor maintenance tasks or assisting the maintenance team on larger jobs.
• Assisting lorries to tip raw material and loading finished product from silos.
• Liaising with your line manager to plan production, report issues and run the plant
• Liaising with other departments on site (quality lab, yard etc) to coordinate day to day operations
• Hygiene and cleanliness task to keep the plant in good working order.
• Use of telehandlers for moving product around site or conducting daily tasks (training provided).
