The Role: Commissioning Engineer

The Client: Our client is at the forefront of designing and manufacturing low-energy and sustainable HVAC solutions. Established in 1974, the client is a privately owned engineering company employing approx. 100 full time staff based throughout the UK with revenues of approximately £20m.
Their main product segments include ventilation, heating, cooling, and lighting and are sold and installed in the commercial market with education representing the largest sector.
Your Mission: This position would suit an experienced field-based Commissioning engineer. The engineer will be required to commission, perform routine planned preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and conduct performance checks on the Company’s range of products.
The role will require travelling to sites and liaising with end users and contractors to conduct required works efficiently and in accordance with the company’s health & safety & quality procedures. Completion of reports and paperwork will also be required.
Comprehensive training will be provided but the ideal candidate will have experience in the commissioning and maintenance of ventilation systems both mechanically and electrically. A working technical knowledge of similar or equivalent products would be desirable. A company vehicle and all necessary tools & equipment will be provided.
The Position:
- A commissioning engineer with experience of ventilation systems including knowledge of HVAC control systems such as BACnet.
- Understanding of the implementation of safety regulations. SSSTS/SMSTS certified is preferable but must be a CSCS Blue skilled worker holder as a minimum.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified in electrical installation / electronic engineering to NVQ level 3 or similar and 18th edition is desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
